2. The data we process and why
| Activity | Data and purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Website visits | IP address, date and time, requested page, status code, volume of transferred data, referrer and browser/device information, insofar as these occur in server logs. Purposes: secure delivery, stability, error analysis and prevention of abuse. | Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation. |
| Contact by form, email or telephone | Name, contact details, enquiry content and necessary communication data. Purpose: respond to enquiries and, where applicable, prepare an offer. | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. |
| Hire, purchase, workshop or mobile service | Contact, vehicle, appointment, location, contract and billing data, and information necessary for the requested service. Purposes: offers, contract performance, customer care, billing and fulfilment of legal obligations. | Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR; in individual cases Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. |
| Interest in Morocco tours | Name, contact details, tour interest and message. Purpose: handle an initially non-binding enquiry. Please do not send passport details, health data or other unnecessary sensitive information. | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; any further disclosure requires transparent information and a valid legal basis. |
| Consent-based functions | Pseudonymous usage data for Google Analytics 4, particularly page views, sessions, visitor sources and device information; see section 6a. | Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR: consent can be withdrawn at any time with future effect. |
We generally obtain the data directly from you. We do not carry out solely automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
3. Forms and contact enquiries
Contact, hire and Morocco tour enquiries
The forms on the Contact, Motorhome hire and Morocco tours pages are provided using SureForms within our WordPress installation. Your information is transmitted to AndalusienCamper S.L. only when you submit the relevant form. Enquiries are stored as form entries in WordPress; an internal email notification may also be sent for handling. A non-binding enquiry does not create a hire, purchase or travel contract.
The contact form asks for name, email address, telephone number and message. The hire enquiry asks for name, email address, hire start date, return date and number of people; you may optionally provide a telephone or WhatsApp number, camper category, handover location, destination and other requirements. The Morocco enquiry asks for name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number and preferred tour; travel dates, number of people, own vehicle, vehicle length and other requirements are optional.
Fields marked * are necessary to handle the relevant enquiry. Without them, the form cannot be submitted and the enquiry cannot be processed. The required checkbox confirms that you have read the privacy information; it is not consent to advertising. The legal basis for pre-contractual enquiries is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; for other enquiries it is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Forms may use a hidden honeypot field to detect automated submissions. Technical storage functions are explained in the Cookie policy.
Mobile motorhome service
The service form asks for first name, surname, email address, location, vehicle make and model, problem category and problem description. Telephone or WhatsApp number and year of manufacture are optional. The information is initially assembled into a message only in your browser. The form does not send it to WordPress or store it as a website form entry.
You then decide whether to open the prepared enquiry in WhatsApp or your email application and send it there. You can add photos and videos yourself. The chosen service’s privacy terms apply before sending; see also section 5. We use information received by us to answer your enquiry and, where appropriate, prepare an offer. An enquiry alone does not result in use for advertising.
4. Morocco tours and possible data recipients
Expressions of interest submitted through this website are initially handled by AndalusienCamper S.L. No automatic forwarding to Dr. Ammon Tours or Caravan4You UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is configured. If handling a specific requested trip requires disclosure, we will clearly inform you beforehand about the recipient, purpose and legal basis. Data is transmitted only where necessary for pre-contractual steps you request or for a contract, where you have consented, or where another legal basis applies.
5. Email, telephone and WhatsApp
Email and telephone
When you contact us, we process the information you provide and technically necessary communication data. The email mailbox and associated infrastructure are provided by checkdomain GmbH in Germany.
The provider for users in the European Economic Area is WhatsApp Ireland Limited. Further information is available in the WhatsApp Privacy Policy. WhatsApp opens only when you click the corresponding link or contact us through WhatsApp yourself. From that point, the provider processes communication and connection data under its own privacy terms. Use is voluntary; you can also contact us by email or telephone. WhatsApp content is not embedded in this website.
6. Hosting, fonts and external content
Hosting
The website, database and email infrastructure are provided by checkdomain GmbH, Große Burgstraße 27/29, 23552 Lübeck, Germany. The provider processes data necessary for hosting, transmission and security as a technical service provider.
Locally hosted fonts
Elementor is configured to store the Google fonts used on our web server and serve them from there. Loading these font files does not connect your browser to Google Fonts.
Technical display of emojis
WordPress may test and temporarily store in the browser’s session storage whether emojis can be displayed. If replacement graphics are needed, WordPress may load them from s.w.org. Necessary connection data, particularly the IP address, is then transmitted to the operator of the WordPress.org infrastructure. Technical storage functions are explained in our Cookie policy.
External links
Ordinary links to external websites, such as WhatsApp or travel offers, connect to the relevant provider only after you actively click them. External maps, videos and marketing services are not configured. We use Google Analytics 4 for internal visitor statistics as described below.
6a. Visitor statistics with Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 through the WordPress Site Kit plugin. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We analyse visitor numbers, page views, session duration, visitor sources and device types to improve our website. Statistics are accessible internally only.
With your consent, pseudonymous identifiers are stored in cookies (_ga and _ga_*). They expire by default after up to two years; browsers may shorten this period. Google processes usage and device information and the IP address when a connection is established. According to Google, individual IP addresses are not logged or stored in Analytics.
The legal basis for consent-based statistics is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can reject statistics cookies in the banner and change your choice at any time under “Cookie settings”. The website and enquiry forms remain usable without this consent. If consent is denied, Google Consent Mode may send technical signals to Google without statistics cookies; cookie-based recognition is not enabled.
No Google Ads link or optional data sharing for other Google purposes is configured. Processing by Google companies outside the European Economic Area, particularly in the USA, is possible. Google’s processing is subject to the agreed data processing terms, including the transfer safeguards provided for in them.
Further details: Data processing on partner websites, Privacy in Google Analytics and our Cookie policy.
7. Recipients and international transfers
Access is limited to responsible internal staff and necessary service providers, particularly for hosting, email and website operation. Other recipients receive data only where necessary to handle an enquiry, perform a contract, fulfil a legal obligation or on the basis of valid consent. Transfers outside the European Economic Area take place only under the requirements of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, for example on the basis of an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards. Voluntary use of external services such as WhatsApp or Google may involve international transfers under the relevant provider’s terms.
8. Retention periods
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for its purpose or required by statutory retention obligations. Server logs are deleted or anonymised once the security and operational purposes no longer apply. Non-binding enquiries that do not lead to a contract are deleted after handling is complete, unless legitimate evidential or defence interests require retention.
Contractual, invoice and tax-related documents are kept for the applicable statutory periods. Where no specific period is prescribed, we determine retention according to the purpose, data sensitivity and possible legal claims, and regularly assess whether further storage remains necessary.
9. Your data protection rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your rights, send a message to info@andalusiencamper.com. We may request suitable proof of identity where necessary to prevent unauthorised disclosure.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. In Spain, the competent authority is, in particular, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid.
10. Security, minors and changes
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access. Our services are not specifically directed at minors. Minors should not submit personal data without their legal representative’s consent. We update this policy when the law, services used or data processing changes.
